Keith Burge began KLK Research in 1999. After working in the industry in California, he relocated to Missouri and started his own business doing background screenings. KLK Research was created serving just three counties in Missouri. Due to Keith’s passion and diligence, KLK Research expanded and now offers searches in every county in Missouri and St. Clair county in Illinois.

Kim, Keith’s wife, worked part-time with him for the business while they raised two children. She became a stay-at-home mom in 2003 and began getting more involved with KLK Research. As the business grew, Kim and Keith both worked in the business full-time (and more!) while home-schooling their children.

In 2016, Keith passed away from pancreatic cancer. Kim took over the business and has been at the helm ever since carrying on the legacy Keith built. She has assembled an excellent team to support the mission of providing the most accurate and timely results to their clients.
